1. New American-Made Nano Drone Unveiled

Vantage Robotics has announced the launch of Trace, an ultra-compact nano drone engineered to meet the needs of national security, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure operators.

Trace is an American-made nano UAS (unmanned aerial system) designed to provide the field with a trusted, portable, and cost-effective solution that delivers the performance of much larger systems.

After four years of rigorous innovation and testing in collaboration with the Department of Defense (DoD) and law enforcement, Trace sets a new standard in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) for sUAS.

2. Dufour Unmanned Tilt-Wing Aircraft Flies in Sweden

Dufour Aerospace has carried out a series of customer demonstrations and tests in Sweden. The flights took place at the Västervik airfield in Sweden, supported by the Västervik Drone Science Park and Savback.

It was the first deployment of Dufour’s newly created Operations Team. The AeroMini10, Dufour’s small-sized test and validation platform, proved its worth in real-world flying.

In a total of 12 automated flights, Dufour’s team demonstrated the capabilities of unmanned tilt-wing aircraft in general and the in-house flight control system in particular. The tests went as planned, and so the team was able to collect a lot of valuable operational experience – outside the comfort zone of our homebase in Switzerland.

New Housed Compact Helical GNSS Antennas Released

Calian GNSS, formerly Tallysman Wireless, has launched three new low-profile, light-weight housed helical antennas to its industry-leading line of GNSS antennas.

Calian’s new family of low-profile helical antennas is housed in a very light (32 g) and compact form factor 34 mm top and 44 mm diameter base and they are 54 mm tall. 

The difference between the new and previous generation antenna is that the new models are 10 mm shorter and 10 grams lighter, while all new models provide the same great performance as the previous generation. All antennas support Calian’s eXtended Filtering (XF) technology.

Red Cat Adds VTOL Tricopter to Drone Lineup

Drone technology company Red Cat Holdings, Inc. has acquired FlightWave Aerospace Systems Corporation, a provider of advanced vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drones, sensors, and software solutions.

Red Cat is adding FlightWave’s Edge 130 to its larger family of low-cost, portable unmanned reconnaissance and precision lethal strike systems. 

The platform will be incorporated alongside a new line of FANGâ„¢ First-Person View (FPV) drones that are all deployable in air, land, sea, and sub-sea environments.
