2. Pyka Delivers Autonomous Electric Cargo Aircraft to AFWERX
Pyka has delivered its Pelican large-scale autonomous electric cargo aircraft to AFWERX.
Personnel from Pyka and AFWERX gathered on the tarmac at New Braunfels National Airport to witness the arrival of Pelican Cargo, an aircraft with a 400 pound payload capacity and 200 mile range, built for remote off-airport operations.
3. Volatus Receives FAA Approval for Commercial Agricultural Drone Operations
Volatus Aerospace has received authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the USA for commercial agricultural aircraft operations using drones.
The Operating Certificate, issued under FAA Part 137, integrated with an exemption received in September 2023, allows the company’s US subsidiary, Volatus Aerospace USA Corp., to operate any drone approved for agricultural operations, including drones weighing 55 pounds (25kg) or greater.

AeroVironment’s PS2500 battery is now approved for use in the Pumaâ„¢ 3 AE unmanned aircraft system (UAS).Â
The optional PS2500 battery allows operators to achieve extended endurance of up to three hours of flight time. The increased endurance provides operators with greater mission flexibility and time on station across land and maritime operations.
