Intelligent connected vehicle

Harxon has released the following article that highlights the benefits of the company’s automotive antenna solutions for intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs).

Intelligent connected vehicles are equipped with advanced sensors, controllers, actuators and other devices, supported by modern communications and network technology and designed to facilitate intelligent information exchange between vehicle and everything (cars, road, people, the cloud, etc.). ICVs are expected to provide autonomous driving capabilities in the future and to make transportation safer, cleaner and more comfortable.

There are multiple communication needs for ICV, including GNSS, 5G, V2X, WiFi, BT, AM/FM, UWB and ETC, which put more demands on ICV antennas. Many products are limited by issues such as single frequency band, short transmission distance, weak anti-interference ability and complex layout. Harxon offers two effective solutions to these shortcomings – the HX-AUST002 and HX-AULT002.

Harxon’s ICV antennas are highly integrated high-performance multiband automotive solutions that support dedicated short range (DSRC) and cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) communication. They integrate multi-constellation multi-band GNSS antennas for reliable and precise positioning and consistent V2X communication with uniform radiation elements, and also include four embedded 5G antennas.

The ICV antennas employ a patented modular structure layout to seamlessly integrate seven broadband antenna units into one compact enclosure. The design is open for flexible customizable requests such as hardware connectors, LNAs, other options including DSRC, UWB, AM/FM, and dual-frequency Wi-Fi. The low-profile shark fin design minimizes damage from overhead objects and reduces wind resistance, and the IP67 ruggedized housing ensures a long lifespan in tough environmental conditions such as vibration, harsh weather and high-speed travel.

Harxon’s ICV antenna solutions meet automotive-grade standards with proven high reliability, consistency and durability. As a customized antenna solution supplier, Harxon can also provide ICV antennas with customized antenna shapes and connectors.
