Milanion has relocated to a larger headquarters and manufacturing facility in order to expand the production of its autonomous UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles) and USVs (unmanned surface vessels). The strategic relocation to Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP) in the UAE will allow Milanion to streamline and increase manufacturing capability, whilst focusing on R&D to develop new innovative autonomous technologies.

A part of Tawazun Economic Council, TIP hosts a number of global defence manufacturing enterprises. Milanion’s new facility on the premises will serve as a hub for the development and manufacture of a range of defence and security-related products with an initial focus on UGVs. The company plans to showcase at least five vehicles at IDEX 2021.

Davinder Dogra, CEO of Milanion, commented: “We are proud to announce our move to the secure Tawazun Industrial Park in Abu Dhabi, the premier hub for Defence sector manufacturing in the region. This achievement will allow us to more than double our production capacity in line with local and international interest in our unmanned technologies and platforms.”

Eng. Faiz Al Nahdi, CEO of TIP, said: “TIP’s vision is to be the leading industrial zone in the strategic sectors that are our focus. Our target industries are market leaders with an objective to build skills, expertise, products and systems within the UAE. Milanion compliments our criteria perfectly and their autonomous unmanned vehicles are a welcome addition to the prestigious list of manufacturing abilities and products in TIP. We look forward to enabling and nurturing Milanion’s growth.”
