SeeByte Awarded Delivery Order to Extend US Navy Unmanned Capability

SeeByte has been awarded the first delivery order in the second option year of a five-year contract. It is awarded by the US Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Indian Head EOD Technology Division to provide engineering, technical support, and training services for the MK18 Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) Family of Systems (FoS).

This specific delivery order focuses on the continued development and support of software tools that enable the US Navy to train its Mine Counter Measures (MCM) operators in the full UUV mission life cycle utilising SeeByte and US Navy toolsets deployed in fleet theatre operations.

Rob Carsley, Operations Manager at SeeByte said,

“We are delighted to continue our support in response to MK18 training needs. We will provide a tailored training solution which will encompass the mission planning, mission monitoring and post-mission analysis features of our multi-vehicle co-operative autonomy product, Neptune. The training will occur in a purely synthetic environment and the ability to run ‘what if’ missions in simulation will increase awareness of Neptune capabilities and instil confidence in mission success, in addition to maintaining operator proficiency.”
