The second Global Drone Conference 2020 takes place on the 2nd – 3rd of March 2020 at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), providing an opportunity for key minds to gather across a variety of business verticals to explore future possibilities, applications and commercialisation of the future $127 billion commercial drone market.

The Global Drone Conference was established to empower local and international drone solution companies in Malaysia with a support system to assist them to scale and ensure that a sustainable ecosystem is created for the growing drone industry globally.

Seeing an opportunity in the Malaysian market, the two women heading Best Events Productions Sdn Bhd, Ms Sarah Bakri and Ms Hanniz Efni decided to create an event to build awareness and move the industry forward.

The main focus of the event is to educate and assist companies to use drones in precision agriculture, construction, energy and utilities, infrastructure, public safety and emergency services to increase productivity, efficiency and save cost. Exhibitors will be showcasing drone airframes, software, sensors and services, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics solutions as well other support services such as finance and business advisory.

“We are aware that Malaysia’s understanding of the use of commercial drones is still in its infancy stage and we are catching up with our Asian neighbouring countries. We are very focused on what is happening now. Who’s using drones commercially and for what purpose?”; explains Sarah Bakri from Best Events Productions.

“Topics focus on drones that are used for applications such as inspections and monitoring and surveying & mapping within numerous sectors while also preparing the industry for the direction that the drone industry will take in the coming 5 to 10 years including urban air mobility. For example, the industry needs to know which regulations will be put in place in future. If the regulations formulated allow more people to actually use drones, the entire industry will benefit”.

Exhibitors at the Global Drone Conference with the theme “Asia’s Flightpath: Future Growth, Industry Verticals” co-hosted by Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) include Acis Technology, Aerodyne, Aeronerve, Mata Aerotech, Malvus Sense, Meraque, Poladrone and VStream Revolution. Speakers include representatives from Maxis, Unitar, Terra Drone Indonesia, Ground 2 Air Networks and Drone Think Do. The Exhibitor showcase is free for all to visit while the conference tickets can be purchased at www.GlobalDroneConference.com.
