NuWaves Custom Filter LogoNuWaves Engineering, a provider of Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave solutions, has announced a major upgrade to the Custom Cavity RF Filter Design Form on the company’s website. The upgraded web form is a user-friendly interface for customers to easily define custom quick-turn RF cavity filter solutions to meet the filtering demands for military and commercial applications, such as unmanned systems. NuWaves claims that lead times for custom cavity filters designed through the web form may be as short as one week.

Customer filter specifications are submitted through the updated Custom Cavity Filter Design Form at http://nuwaves.com/custom-cavity-filter-form/, where an experienced RF Filter Engineer will evaluate the specifications and provide a quote within 24 hours. The short lead times for custom cavity filters are achieved through a combination of NuWaves’ in-house filter expertise, onsite machine shop, and proven internal manufacturing and testing processes. These resources allow delivery of most filters in as little as one week after receipt of order.

“There is a need for quick-turn custom RF filters in the military communications and electronic warfare market,” explains Jeff Wells, President and CEO of NuWaves Engineering. “We fulfill this need through our rapid design and manufacturing processes, allowing our customers to get their products into test, or into the field, faster than ever.” NuWaves Engineering provides a large selection of options for customized quick-turn filters, including: frequency ranges from VHF to 20 GHz, 3 dB bandwidths from 3% to 28%, and up to 50 W power handling (higher power ratings available upon request).
