SDI500 IMUSystron Donner Inertial, a supplier of high performance MEMS Inertial Sensors & Systems, has reached a milestone for their SDI500 Tactical Grade IMU. The 1,000th unit was delivered on June 9, 2015.

Since the product’s introduction in 2010, the SDI500 has become a successful, widely used Tactical Grade IMU that is noted for its outstanding reliability and accuracy, even in challenging environments subject to high vibration, rapidly changing temperature extremes, and tough mission profiles. The SDI500 is distinguished as the only MEMS IMU capable of delivering 1.0°/hr gyro bias and 1 mg accel bias stability over full temp. -55°C to +85°C. It also features <1.0°/hr gyro bias in-run stability, 0.02°/√hr random walk noise, dynamic range of +/- 1,000 °/sec for the gyros and +/- 50g for the accelerometers and

“One thousand tactical grade IMU deliveries to multiple customers worldwide for mission critical applications is a significant milestone signifying product maturity and customer acceptance.” said David Hoyh, Director Sales & Marketing for SDI. “Systron Donner Inertial continues to invest in SDI500 performance capability enhancements and production capacity to meet our customers’ evolving needs.”
