The Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35 are conducting the first combined operations between the unmanned MQ-8B Fire Scout and the manned H-60 helicopter aboard a littoral combat ship over the next few weeks. Initial flight tests were carried out on USS Freedom (LCS 1) on April 30 off the coast of San Diego, California.
