NuWaves Engineering, an international Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave solutions provider, announced today that the company has been awarded a contract from a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contractor to rapidly develop a custom RF upconverter module for use in a government satellite application.
The custom RF upconverter will not only translate an intermediate frequency (IF) signal to an RF signal, but it will also provide power amplification in support of the government’s mission requirements. NuWaves won the competitive award based on its extensive RF upconverter and power amplifier development expertise, as well as the company’s ability to deliver in less than 60 days.
“This rapid-reaction project exemplifies what NuWaves does extraordinarily well,” said Jeff Wells, President and CEO of NuWaves Engineering. “We’re able to leverage and even miniaturize proven RF designs both cost-effectively and quickly in order to field high-performance, small form-factor RF solutions in support of our customer’s objectives.”
NuWaves Engineering is a premier supplier of RF and Microwave solutions for Department of Defense (DoD), government, industrial and commercial customers.
