AMP to showcase StreamCorder-HD at Embedded World 2014

This year Advanced Micro Peripherals (AMP) will be demonstrating their new StreamCorder-HD board at Embedded World 2014 in Nuremberg, Germany. This intelligent, standalone H.264 streaming solution accepts HD-SDI input at up to 1080p30 for real-time encoding, streaming over 100/1000 MBit Ethernet and local storage. The StreamCorder-HD is ideal for mobile UAS and Vetronix applications within the Military, Communications, Transportation, Mining and Energy industries.

The demonstration will comprise software playback of video recorded by a vehicle-mounted StreamCorder-HD system, complete with visualization of the metadata captured – GPS Lat/Long, Speed, Accelerometers and Heading. This offers visitors insight into AMP’s expertise in embedded video data and metadata capture, encoding and decoding, processing solutions and systems integration.

Visitors can also learn how AMP can meet their specific project requirements. AMP solutions will integrate seamlessly into their system environment, adding world-class video technology while eliminating learning curve, reducing time to market and cutting costs. This concept has been formalized within AMP’s Rapid Synthesis Video Platform or RSVP program. Technical staff on the stand will be presenting the RSVP Online Application Profile, a tool that allows designers to simply tell AMP of their video systems requirements. The company responds with a hardware platform to handle all video, processing, storage, communication and any other I/O requirement. The platform is preloaded with one of their well-proven Recording and Streaming SDKs, together with a robust turnkey application and a customizable user interface.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors are welcome to AMP’s Stand 508 in Hall 2, within the PC/104 Consortium area. Here, they are invited to discuss their particular project requirements and see how easily and cost-effectively they can add industry-leading video capability to their embedded OEM project.

“We’re looking forward to showing our visitors how they can achieve their embedded video designs quickly, easily and cost-effectively,” commented Lee Foss, AMP’s CEO and Founder, “In addition, we’ll be offering free copies of our brand-new Rugged Video Applications Cookbook; we have prepared this to show typical applications where AMP is found, and our hardware and software products’ role within these applications”.
