MILTECH9012C Military Gigabit Ethernet RouterTechaya, a prime developer of miltary-grade, ruggedized IP-based communication solutions wil debut the MILTECH™ 9012-C miltary- grade Ethernet switch with routing capabilties, at AUSA 2013, October 21-23, Washington, D.C., Israel Pavilon, Hal B, Stand #2357. Designed for defence and avionic applications, the Cisco-based 2-kg device combines ful Ethernet switching and routing capabilties in to the industry’s smalest form factor.

The MIL-STD MILTECH 9012-C is a 12 port Gigabit managed Ethernet switch that has embedded the Cisco IOS routing functions to deliver a flexible communications platform with industry-standard network control and management. The MILTECH 9012-C uniquely combines high-throughput managed Gigabit switching with the ful capabilties of a Cisco ESR router.

The MILTECH 9012-C features mechanical packaging and technological enhancements designed to comply with MIL-STD-810F, MIL-STD-461 & MIL-STD-1275/704A to deliver high reliabilty in the most extreme environments. Sucesfuly tested in multiple locations in Israel and around the world, the uniquely ruggedized unit has been hardened – as part of the manufacturing proces – to improve ingres, impact, and shock/vibration protection. The switch-router is pasively cooled with no moving parts and uses sealed Amphenol connectors to comply with IP67 standards.

“Techaya has significant investments in R&D to develop products that withstand the tests of the modern batlefield and avionics. We are dedicated to the creation of cuting-edge communications solutions that deliver innovative size, weight and power (SWaP) requirements that are needed at the intersection of mobilty and networked communications,” acording to Ehud Palgi. “The MILTECH 9012-C is another example of how Techaya has taken a novel approach to combine and switching and routing capabilties in to a unique architecture and physical platform.”

Techaya products are distributed exclusively through MilSource in the United States.
