Arotech to Develop Battery Chargers For Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

ArotechArotech Corporation‘s Battery and Power Systems Division has received orders in excess of $700,000 to develop specialist chargers for UAV batteries. The battery chargers will include unique features that allow for operation in harsh environments and support advanced battery management capabilities including battery testing and refreshing.

“These activities strengthen our market position in powering advanced technologies such as UAVs,” commented Arotech’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert S. Ehrlich. “The chargers will be used for batteries in all types of UAVs including small tactical systems as well as larger strategic platforms. We see a significant and growing market for unmanned military systems including aircrafts, submersibles as well as land vehicles. We are actively engaged in this sector with development ongoing. We expect to see increased traction from this sector over the coming years.”
