LEMO USB Connectors

LEMO, a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision custom connection solutions will be displaying its connector series designed specifically for COTS military, robotics, security & aerospace, as well as other harsh environment applications that require robust high-quality performance in a lightweight compact size at the AUVSI 2013 show. The LEMO M Series was designed for those that require a MIL-38999 type connector but in a much smaller, lightweight and compact package with high contact densities, while still monitoring or exceeding performance specifications.

The LEMO M Series Connector family offers insert configurations from 2 to 114 contacts. This year LEMO will be introducing the M Series with a new high current contact and mixed-size hybrid configurations for when you need power over LAN, robotic three-phase motor control and power, or anytime you need to combine high and low current signals.

The M Series has been through extensive testing (EIA 364 and MIL-STD 810) to validate various Mil-Specs such as: lightening strikes, vibration, EMI shielding, flammability ruggedness and other critical environmental features that are required and/or desired in aerospace and military environments. The results were superb and this has confirmed LEMO’s confidence in this product line.

LEMO has also added a Rugged Waterproof USB Type A Connector (IP68 when mated) to its family of M Series connectors. This particular connector has been designed for outdoor use including oil/petroleum, automotive, mining, military, or any type of application that requires rugged and reliable connections. The complete product line offers 8 shell sizes and includes panel mount and in-line sockets, plugs, and protective caps.
