Silicone Gel Products to Isolate UAV Vibration

Advanced Antivibration Components (AAC) now offers a number of different silicone gel products for isolating vibration in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) applications. Surveillance UAVs make use of cameras to obtain visual intel in military and other applications. Because there is significant vibration caused by turbulence and the propulsion of the system itself, vibration damping like that offered by AAC’s silicone gel products is crucial for obtaining smooth camera footage.

AAC offers silicone gel spring mounts, pads, tapes and chips, but the bolt mounts are of particular interest for UAV applications. Identified as the V10Z61MS, V10Z61MA & V10Z61MB series, the mounts have a low profile design to minimize image distortion. They have a temperature range of -40°C to 200°C (-40°F to 392°F).

AAC provide products exclusively related to the elimination of vibration, energy absorption and protection of components and devices from shock and possible destruction. AAC offers a wide range of shock & vibration isolation products, which include stud & nut type mounts, base plate fastened mounts, wheels, leveling & foot mounts, suspension mounts, spring, steel mesh & cable mounts, bumpers, channel mounts, bushings & grommets, pads & tapes, and couplings. These products are stocked in different materials, including rubber, neoprene, urethane, Sorbothane®, stainless steel mesh and springs. Many are suitable for use in extreme environmental conditions. Of special interest is a complete selection of silicone gel stud mounts, pads, and foam sheets, as well as paste-type and sheet-type thermal gel.
