The Behlman 90540 UAV power supply

Behlman Electronics Inc., long known for its leadership in power products for military, industrial and commercial applications, is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its Model 94050 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) power supply. The 94050 has all the features required for use on UAV’s: high efficiency, high MTBF; light weight; and low noise.

The Behlman 94050 COTS power supply is a highly reliable, switch mode unit built for mission-critical military applications as well as high-end industrial power solutions that require a broad range of DC outputs. It accepts a wide-range DC input of 16-32 VDC from a MIL-STD 704E power bus or batteries, and provides outputs of 400 watts at 28 V, 5.5 V, 5 V and 9 V. Operating temperature range is -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C).

The Behlman 94050 is designed to meet MIL-STD-810 for shock, vibration and humidity, plus MIL-STD-461 for EMI/EMC. It weighs only 0.45 pounds (0.2 kg) and measures 4.13” L x 4.70” W x 1.63” H (10.49 cm L x 11.94 cm W x 4.14 cm H), so it can be readily designed into UAVs and other compact military and industrial equipment.

According to Behlman President, Ronald Storm, “The fact that our Model 94050 has had so many UAV repeat orders is testimony to its extremely reliable performance and versatility. We are very proud to continue making a valuable contribution to this nation’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and stand ready to create whatever power supplies will be needed for the next generations of UAVs. Design engineers are invited to contact Behlman for a no-charge consultation to discuss their requirements.”
