XPedite7572 5th Gen Intel® Core™ i7

Extreme Engineering Solutions, Inc. has introduced a line-up of embedded solutions utilizing the latest 5th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor (formerly Broadwell-H). Take advantage of advanced, 14 nm Intel® Iris™ graphics and high-performance quad-core processing, coupled with X-ES SecureCOTS™ technology, for unparalleled, secure embedded computing power.

New With 5th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 (Broadwell-H) Processors
Intel®’s 5th generation Core™ i7 processor features four cores and leverages power-efficient 14 nm technology to improve performance-per-watt over previous generation Core™ i7 processors, making it an ideal choice for today’s high performance embedded computing. A dual-channel DDR3L-1600 memory controller with ECC provides up to 25.6 Gb/s memory bandwidth, and a configurable x16 PCI Express 3.0 port maximizes data throughput and system expansion capabilities.

Intel® Iris™ graphics in 5th generation Core™ i7 processors benefits from eDRAM and architectural improvements, offering increased performance over previous generations for graphics-intensive applications.

When coupled with OpenCL™, these processors can serve as general purpose GPUs for the most demanding data processing applications. Pairing 5th generation Core™ i7’s support for Intel® vPro™ with Intel® Active Management Technology simplifies maintenance and diagnostics for remote configuration and system management in today’s embedded computing environments.

XPedite7572 3U VPX SBC
The XPedite7572 is a secure and high-performance, 3U VPX-REDI, single board computer based on the 5th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor. It is an optimal choice for computationally heavy applications requiring maximum data and information protection. With integrated SecureCOTS™ technology, the XPedite7572 protects Critical Program Information (CPI) from being modified or observed, and provides an ideal solution when stringent Anti-Tamper (AT) or Information Assurance (IA) capabilities are required.
The XPedite7572 includes a customizable SmartFusion®2 security SoC, which can control and monitor the CPU subsystem, as well as host custom functions such as data encryption. It accommodates up to 16 GB of DDR3 ECC SDRAM and up to 32 GB of secure SLC NAND flash, and offers up to four Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports, four SATA ports, two Dual-Mode DisplayPort interfaces, and two RS-232/422/485 serial ports. An integrated XMC site with a x8 PCI Express 3.0 interface provides expansion capabilities.

X-ES Advantages
With SecureCOTS™, Built-In Test (BIT) support, true configuration and obsolescence management, class III PCB fabrication and assembly, environmental qualification per MIL-STD-810, Two-Level Maintenance (2LM), as well as many other features, X-ES 5th generation Core™ i7-based modules are designed and tested for maximum reliability in the most demanding environments and applications that require long life cycles.

As a footprint-compatible upgrade from 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor modules, X-ES’ already-proven designs can be leveraged to provide faster time to market. Short lead times, competitive pricing, and best-in-class customer support make X-ES the embedded computing vendor of choice.

Software support for WindRiver VxWorks, X-ES Enterprise Linux (XEL), and Microsoft Windows drivers is available with all 5th generation Intel® Core™ i7 products.
