The T3U is a high-performance rotary servo actuator specifically designed for challenging subsea deployments at depths of down to 6000 meters. Featuring a rugged pressure-compensated and oil-filled construction with best-in-class materials and components, it is ideal for a variety of USV and UUV applications including rudder and moving surface control and valve actuation.
The high-torque actuator features integrated brushless DC control electronics and contactless absolute position feedback, and utilizes a unique gearing setup that allows it to handle high transient loads without structural failure. It can be integrated into subsea robotic platforms via a number of interface options including CAN 2.0B, RS-485 serial, or optically-isolated RC PWM, and feeds back a variety of vital information such as absolute position, motor phase current, temperature, bus voltage, and actuator health.
