Calian GNSS has launched a TruPrecison Software Development Kit for the HCS885XF L1/L5 Smart GNSS Precise Heading Helical Antenna.
The HCS885XF SDK packages an HCS885XF antenna with Calian TruPrecision GNSS Dashboard software, designed to run on Windows OS.
The SDK simplifies set up and evaluation of the HCS885XF, providing tools to configure, log data (and map), set up corrections delivery from commercial services, and view satellite reception strength. The SDK includes 60 days of complementary PointPerfect PPP-RTK service.
The HCS885XF is an L1/L5 dual band Smart GNSS Antenna that integrates Calian’s helical antenna technology with a u-blox NEO-F9P GNSS receiver, providing a high performance, light weight, low power, low profile GNSS solution for UAVs and robotics.
The HCS885XF has superior multi-path performance and employs Calian’s eXtended Filtering technology to mitigate interference from various public communication signals, as well as the company’s harmonics, that often affect the GNSS band.
The integrated NEO-F9P GNSS receiver not only provides great ‘stand-alone’ performance when combined with Calian’s helical GNSS antenna, but can also act as an RTK-Rover, compatible with commercial RTK services (Point One Navigation Polarity RTK and Swift Navigation Skylark® Cx/Nx RTK) to achieve cm-level positioning.
HCS885XF can also use u-blox PointPerfect PPP-RTK services for <6 cm positioning performance.
The antenna, acting in concert with a second HCS885XF, provides a Moving Base Precise Heading solution with <0.3º accuracy. The helical antenna is designed to be easily integrated into PixHawk and other UAV platforms over a serial interface.
To further aid development for UAV and Robotic systems, Calian has developed ROS2® drivers available from its Github repository.
