UAV Air Data System

Aeroprobe Corporation has introduced its next generation Micro Air Data System, the μADS 2.0. The new 2.0 version provides increased control and stability of unmanned air vehicles and also helps achieve optimal fuel efficiency.

The μADS 2.0 utilizes microprocessors and the latest in miniaturized high-reliability pressure sensors, to make it one of the smallest and most accurate air data systems on the market.

“Our newest micro air data system will allow UAVs to reap the stability and endurance benefits of real-time air data measurement,” said Nanci Hardwick, Chief Executive Officer for Aeroprobe Corporation. “The integration of GPS/INS with AoA, AoS, airspeed and altitude in one compact package positions Aeroprobe as a technological leader, delivering compelling and strategic solutions to our customers in the scientific research, defense, and commercial industries. Aeroprobe is committed to providing reliable and innovative enhancements to our product lines, and the μADC V2.0 is a great example of that.”

With the μADS 2.0, even the smallest UAVs are able to provide real-time air data measurements to a flight controller. At less than 200g, depending on options selected, the μADC V2.0 can function as an air data computational device, or can be easily configured for use in Underwater Unmanned Vehicles when ordered with wet/wet pressure sensors.
