Taurus 400 Series BLDC motor controllers are high-voltage, high-power units that are customized for each end user to meet their specific electric or hybrid electric UAV or unmanned vehicle requirements. Utilizing silicon carbide FETs, they provide advanced power switching capabilities, and can be tailored to fit into a variety of specific spaces such as winglets, booms, and motor housings.
The versatile controllers feature full four-quadrant Field Oriented Control (FOC) and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) for unparalleled efficiency, and offer customized control loops for speed, torque, voltage, power, and other more advanced modes. They can also be overmodulated to maximize peak power output of the motor drive.
The controllers support active regenerative braking, and can also be integrated into a generator system to form the basis of a hybrid electric powertrain. They can be run sensorless, or with feedback from Hall or quadrature sensors.
