Hydromea, an underwater robotics company, has introduced its latest innovation, the D-FIN™ Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) Motor Controller.
This advanced device is designed to provide unmatched efficiency, precision, and compactness for brushless permanent magnet DC (BLDC) motors and thrusters.
Developed and manufactured in Switzerland, the D-FIN controller offers exceptional power and precision tailored for Hydromea’s proprietary DISKDRIVE™ thrusters as well as a wide range of other BLDC motors commonly used in robotics and related technologies.
The controller is engineered to deliver smooth, quiet, and highly efficient performance, making it an ideal choice for demanding applications in robotics and marine exploration. Its compact size ensures it can be easily integrated into the smallest robotic vehicles, with the added benefit of being stackable on a proprietary backplane to optimize space and reduce cabling complexity. With multiple digital interfaces, the D-FIN is versatile and easy to incorporate into existing systems. It supports control and monitoring via RS485 serial bus, CAN bus, USB-C, or PWM, providing maximum flexibility.
