MIL-STD-1553 Dual Channel Interface Board

The MIL-STD-1553 Dual Channel Interface Board delivers high-performance, independent dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553 bus connectivity, designed for integration into demanding unmanned and aerospace platforms. Operating as a Bus Controller (BC), Remote Terminal (RT), or Bus Monitor (BM), the board supports simultaneous multi-RT simulation (up to 32 RTs) and handles 1553A, 1553B (with notices 1 and 2), and 1553C protocols with precision. Its transformer-coupled channels (with optional direct coupling) enable reliable 1553-to-Ethernet conversion, ensuring robust, real-time communication across mission-critical systems. By offloading most functions to the onboard FPGA, the system reduces CPU demand, preventing interference with other I/O boards and maintaining system stability.

Engineered for extreme environments, the interface board operates from -40°C to +85°C, at altitudes up to 60,000 feet, withstanding vibration levels up to 5 g and shocks up to 50 g — making it ideal for in-flight testing and ruggedized unmanned applications. The included 1553 API offers streamlined control without sacrificing access to advanced functionality, while software drivers support major operating systems (Windows, Linux, INtime, QNX, RT Linux) and tools like LabVIEW. Seamless integration with external systems, customizable configuration, and comprehensive monitoring capabilities make this board an indispensable asset for modern military and aerospace data architectures.
