DeltaQuad recently engaged with hundreds of aspiring and experienced engineers at the Amsterdam RAI during De Techniek Carrièrebeurs 2026.
As one of the largest engineering career events in the Netherlands, the exhibition provided a platform for the company to showcase its autonomous aerial systems. Rather than staffing the booth solely with human resources personnel, DeltaQuad deployed its own engineers to facilitate honest, technical dialogues about the daily realities of the profession. This approach allowed visitors to move beyond standard recruitment inquiries and delve into complex topics such as failure modes, field challenges, and the practical discrepancies between theoretical design and real-world application.
The interest in technical depth was further evidenced during a session on tactical aerial intelligence, which exceeded its scheduled time due to the volume of questions from the audience. Attendees, including students, recent graduates, and seasoned professionals, focused on how hardware and software are integrated from the outset and how systems are designed to remain functional in imperfect conditions. DeltaQuad emphasizes that reliability is a foundational element of every design decision rather than a final addition, as their technology is specifically built to operate in demanding environments outside of a laboratory setting.
The company values the critical inquiry shown by participants, noting that the most impressive candidates were those who asked the most difficult questions, “The problems we work on are complex, and the audience understood that immediately. There are no simple answers, and no one expected them. We value that kind of honesty in the people we hire.”
For those who participated in these rigorous discussions, DeltaQuad believes the experience served as a barometer for cultural and professional alignment with the firm. The work remains inherently challenging, and the company continues to seek engineers who are motivated by such complexity rather than deterred by it.
