CAN Bus modules for drones and robotics

Innodisk has released a line of CAN Bus modules specifically designed for unmanned systems with a range of form factors. The new modules are designed to provide CAN Bus connectivity even in harsh conditions, and are resistant to extreme temperatures and electromagnetic interference.

Innodisk CAN Bus modules all provide 2.5KV isolation protection as well as the high-layer protocols SAE J1939 and CANopen needed to ensure optimal performance in extreme conditions without degrading. The USB to CAN module is ideal for a wide range of UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) and robotics applications, allowing interfacing with onboard computers and CAN peripherals as well as drone ground control stations.

CAN Bus solutions that are sufficiently capable of handling the strain of harsh environments have traditionally been a major roadblock for reliable systems development. Innodisk CAN Bus modules provide complete hardware and software integration and offer a variety of form factors to fit diverse demands, making them ideal for systems integrators and engineers looking to develop unmanned systems and robotics.

Johnny Wu, Senior Manager of Innodisk’s Intelligent Peripheral Application Department, commented: “Innodisk’s CAN modules are successfully supporting our customers’ projects involving different smart applications. Using Innodisk products for their unmanned devices reaffirms our commitment to providing the most durable products on the market. We’re proud to have played a small but crucial part in their developments.”
