Miniature Fiber Optic Gyros Released with Magnetic Shielding

Fizoptika FOG sensorsFizoptika is now producing its VG091 series of ultra-miniature FOG (fiber optic gyroscope) sensors with integrated magnetic shields, bringing the magnetic response of the units to less than 0.1 °/h/Gauss. The VG191A differential-output FOG and VG191AD digital FOG also feature a 15-year lifetime and enhanced resistance to shock, vibration and temperature, making them ideal for the harsh environments experienced by UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), drones and robotics.

Both sensors are enclosed in a compact, rugged μ-metal aluminium alloy housing, with excellent ARW (angle random walk) and bias stability performance as well as instant start-up time and low power consumption.
