Fizoptika G121 fiber optic gyroFizoptika has launched the G121, a new low-SWaP (size, weight and power) three-axis fiber optic gyro sensor consisting of three single-axis FOG sensors mounted on a solid frame, as well as a fully integrated ADC board. The new sensor was developed following significant interest in Fizoptika’s lightweight single-axis VG221, on which the new three-axis gyro is based.

With a footprint of 52x58x37 mm and weighing just 125 grams, the FOG sensor is ideal for a variety of UAV and drone applications, such as gimbal and camera stabilization. Parameters include:

  • 0.025°/√h ARW
  • 300°/s input range
  • 3°/h bias (RMS)
  • Initialization time of 1 second
  • Aluminium or hard plastic housing options
