Chess Dynamics, a developer of electro-optical surveillance and video tracking, has been awarded a £1.4 million contract from a major weapon system prime to provide Hawkeye EOSS systems for mobile air defense units.
The equipment is designed to be integrated into mobile platforms to provide advanced electro-optical targeting of hostile air-borne threats. This order reflects a significant shift in global defense requirements, moving away from static installations toward agile, expeditionary sensor systems that can operate in rapidly changing environments.
The Hawkeye EOSS utilizes a combination of high-resolution optical and thermal imaging sensors to deliver long-range detection, identification, and tracking. These capabilities are supported by a high-precision positioner designed for demanding operational conditions.
This system also integrates Chess Dynamics’ proprietary DEFT AI-enhanced tracking algorithms, ensuring robust capture and track maintenance of hostile targets.
