
Dronetag has released a new video answering one of the most frequently asked questions about their Remote ID receiver: What is the actual detection range of the Dronetag RIDER in real-world conditions?
The video takes viewers into the field for a live test, showcasing the RIDER’s performance with two antenna configurations:
- The standard omnidirectional antenna.
- An optional directional antenna, currently undergoing testing and expected to become available soon.

While the test was performed using a DJI drone, RIDER is designed to detect any drone broadcasting Remote ID, regardless of manufacturer. The goal of the video is to offer a transparent look at RIDER’s practical capabilities in ideal line-of-sight conditions.
The video also includes a first look at the new generation of Drone Scanner – Dronetag’s upcoming update to their well-known Remote ID monitoring app. The new version is expected to offer even greater functionality for users looking to visualize drone activity in their surroundings.
