Teledyne Marine Vehicles has announced a significant expansion of its direct-to-customer service capabilities within the United Kingdom.
This strategic investment includes the opening of new repair facilities in Fareham, co-located with Teledyne Raymarine. This new site will support Teledyne’s entire range of unmanned underwater vehicles, including Teledyne Gavia AUVs, Teledyne Webb Research Slocum gliders, and APEX profiling floats. This augments the existing Slocum glider facility located at the National Oceanographic Center in Southampton.
To improve support for the Royal Navy and other UK customers, Teledyne has also hired dedicated service staff for the Raymarine Centre in Fareham, as well as field support personnel in Plymouth. These new staff members will ensure responsive expert assistance and the ability for Teledyne field staff to forward deploy with users.
Brian Maguire, General Manager of Teledyne Marine Vehicles, said: “This expansion is a reflection of our long-term commitment to the UK market. By investing in local infrastructure and talent, we’re enhancing our ability to support customers directly and efficiently, while also deepening our engagement with the scientific and military communities that rely on our technologies.”
Teledyne’s investment in the UK aims to provide faster turnaround times, improved service accessibility, and deeper technical engagement for its regional customer base.
