Spectris has signed a purchase agreement to acquire Vermont-based developer of inertial and wireless sensing systems, MicroStrain Sensing Systems Business.

MicroStrain will be integrated into Hottinger Brüel & Kjær (HBK), which has a long-established brand in sensing systems. 

The acquisition will not only provide HBK with additional technological know-how, but also help provide enhanced solutions for the automation and smart manufacturing markets.
