3DM-GX5-AR Vertical Reference Unit (VRU)

The 3DM-GX5-AR Vertical Reference Unit (VRU) uses a triaxial accelerometer, triaxial gyroscope, temperature sensors, and pressure altimeter to provide both IMU outputs (acceleration, angular rate, ambient pressure, delta theta, delta velocity) as well as a wide variety of computed outputs. A state-of-the-art Extended Kalman Filter run by dual on-board processors delivers high-accuracy dynamic attitude estimates.

User-defined sensor-to-vehicle frame transformation allows for easy integration into any unmanned systems application, and bias tracking, error estimation and adaptive noise modelling allow the user to fine-tune to specific conditions.
