SBG Systems Qinertia post-processing software

SBG Systems’ Qinertia post-processing software is now being offered by Septentrio with its AsteRx-i3 D Pro+, AsteRx-i3 S Pro+ and AsteRx SBi3 Pro+ GNSS/INS receivers. The software provides UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) mapping and surveying applications that do not have access to real-time GNSS corrections with higher positioning and orientation (heading, pitch and roll) accuracy.

Qinertia performs GNSS/INS post-processing with raw GNSS observables. By post-processing GNSS and IMU data, trajectory and orientation accuracy is improved and sensor data such as images can be geotagged. This makes high-accuracy mapping possible even in places where real-time GNSS corrections are not available.

With the addition of post-processing, Septentrio’s GNSS/INS products seamlessly cover the full mapping workflow. The AsteRx-i3 Pro+ receivers are fully compatible with Qinertia post-processing software, meaning that no data manipulation is required before the post-processing step.

Danilo Sabbatini, Product Manager at Septentrio, commented: “As a result of our cooperation with SBG Systems, Septentrio’s mapping customers who use GNSS/INS are benefitting from a quicker and more reliable workflow. The intuitive user interface of Qinertia software makes it easy for users to further improve their positioning and orientation accuracy in the post-processing step.”
