Performance Drone Works (PDW) has secured its first contract award with the U.S. Air Force for its C100 multi-mission Unmanned Aerial System (UAS).
The contract was awarded by the 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing (AGOW), which is headquartered at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. The 93rd AGOW commands four subordinate units and supports diverse Air Force missions across various operational domains. This award represents a major milestone in PDW’s expansion within the U.S. Department of Defense.
The C100 is PDW’s flagship Group 2 UAS, designed for high agility, endurance, and tactical flexibility. It is capable of 74-minute flight times, a maximum speed of 40 mph, and an operational range exceeding 10 kilometers.
The C100 features a truly modular architecture and multi-domain command and control, allowing it to excel in mission sets such as Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), electronic warfare, and kinetic effects.
Ryan Gury, CEO and co-founder of PDW, stated that the U.S. Air Force is “seeking advanced, modular solutions to fill a critical gap in rapidly deployable, multi-mission aerial platforms and PDW’s C100 is the perfect system to deliver on this need.” He also noted that the “93rd AGOW’s operational diversity is a perfect match for the C100’s modular payload ecosystem and unmatched performance across a range of mission profiles.”
Gury further added that the C100’s industry-leading performance and payload modularity “enables rapid adaptation and overmatch to evolving threats the Air Force faces across the globe.” The company is proud to help bring that “flexibility and scalability to the Air Force’s tactical edge.”
This Air Force award builds upon PDW’s recent contract successes with the U.S. Army, including its involvement in the Medium Range Reconnaissance (MRR) program and the Transformation in Contact Initiative.
