Exail is set to provide the Indonesian Navy with a comprehensive next-generation Unmanned Mine Countermeasures (MCM) System.
The agreement includes the delivery of four Inspector 90 Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) alongside Seascan and K-Ster Mine Identification and Disposal Systems. These assets will form the core of a fully integrated unmanned MCM capability and will operate from two newly commissioned motherships, KRI Pulau Fani and KRI Pulau Fanildo.
Jérôme Bendell, Head of Exail Maritime Systems Business line, said, “This new success highlights the strength of our modular MCM solution, UMIS, which is specifically designed to adapt to the unique operational needs of each navy. Its flexibility enables the delivery of scalable, high-performance unmanned systems, configurable for a wide range of mine warfare missions. This selection, showcasing yet another adaptable configuration, further reinforces Exail’s position as a key player in shaping the future of naval mine countermeasures.”
The Inspector 90 USVs and the accompanying mine disposal systems will be remotely operated from the motherships and fully coordinated through Exail’s unified Command and Control (C2) center. This central system, powered by the Umisoft software suite and installed within each vessel’s combat information center, enables seamless control over sweeping and hunting missions. Umisoft provides robust mission planning, real-time operational oversight, multi-system synchronization, and detailed post-mission analysis, ensuring an efficient and data-driven approach to mine countermeasures.
