Showcased at DSEI 2025, Rotron Aerospace presented the Talon DT-300, a fully electric, multi-mission Vertical Take Off Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) designed for flexible operational roles.
The foldable twin-rotor platform is built for rapid reconfiguration, allowing the system to adapt quickly to different mission requirements. The Talon DT-300 is capable of carrying payloads of up to 30 kilograms and offers a maximum range of approximately 140 kilometers. Its compact, fold-up design supports efficient transport and deployment, while maintaining a larger rotor disc than conventional quadcopters to improve lift and overall efficiency.
According to Rotron, the aircraft achieves significantly greater range, around four times that of a comparable quadcopter, through blade pitch control on each rotor. Individually adjustable blades improve efficiency in forward flight and provide enhanced stability and control in turbulent conditions, contributing to both extended range and increased payload capability.
