Rotron Aerospace Ltd., a UK company specializing in propulsion systems and unmanned aviation platforms, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LIG Nex1 Co., Ltd., one of the Republic of Korea’s leading defense corporations.
This agreement establishes a strategic partnership to collaborate on the development, integration, and future export of next-generation Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
Signed at Rotron’s headquarters in Dorset, the MoU focuses specifically on the Medium UAV Common Platform (MUCP) program, subsequent and derivative projects, and a wide range of Republic of Korea and international initiatives where Rotron’s advanced aero propulsion systems and aviation platforms can be utilized. The agreement is effective until 2032.
Under the terms of the MoU, the two companies will combine Rotron’s advanced propulsion technologies with LIG Nex1’s proven capabilities in system architecture, integration, and testing. The primary goals of this partnership are to accelerate development timelines, strengthen sovereign capability, and position both companies for long-term success in the Korean, Pacific Rim, and global export markets.
