SEABOTS’ activity centers around the development of technologies for exploring and preserving marine environments, such as Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV) and buoys.
Founded in Barcelona in May 2019 as an offshoot of the GPAINNOVA Group, SEABOTS was soon granted the Fuera de Serie (“state-of-the-art”) Design & Innovation Award, promoted by a large Spanish publishing group in the Sustainability category.
SEABOTS deployed over 100 buoys in 2020 and 2021 to study coastal waters off Eastern Spain. The company was also marketing the SB 100 PRO model, a multipurpose marine drone for a wide variety of purposes in sheltered waters.
Depending on the payloads, this USV can be used in the fields of hydrology, water analysis, research, Search & Rescue (SAR), mooring inspection and water surface cleanup tasks.
Likewise, its use allows access to restricted areas, in which navigation maybe restricted, difficult or dangerous.

SEABOTS found that the SB 100 PRO USV equipped with a WASSP S3R multibeam echo-sounder offered an impressive performance, also benefitting from the accuracy and data quality provided by the INS SBG Ellipse Dual Antenna and the SVS Valeport payloads that were also equipped.
