The ParaZero SafeAir Mavic 3 system is a safety solution designed for the DJI Mavic 3 drone series. It meets the ASTM F3322-22 standards, having completed 45 tests in different scenarios, demonstrating its reliability and effectiveness in real-world situations.
The system is key for operators who wish to comply with the latest regulatory demands, fly beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), and operate above human beings and/or moving vehicles.
Flight Termination System (FTS)
The system includes an Independent Flight Termination System (FTS) that provides an additional layer of security. This feature ensures that the drone ceases operation safely if a critical issue arises, preventing uncontrolled flight, stopping the rotors immediately, and deploying the parachute to protect the drone and ensure a slower descent and safe landing.
Autonomous Triggering System (ATS)
At the core of the system is the Autonomous Triggering System (ATS), a sophisticated flight computer that automatically detects any flight anomalies that might lead to a crash and triggers the parachute. The system is designed to operate effectively even at low altitudes, which is crucial for many commercial drone applications.
Compact & Lightweight
The SafeAir Mavic 3 system has a lightweight design, weighing only 185 grams, ensuring minimal impact on the drone’s flight dynamics and keeping it within the 2nd category of the FAA, making it eligible for an Operate Over People (OOP) waiver.
Rapid Installation
The system features a plug-and-play installation process that takes 3-5 minutes, allowing for quick and efficient setup. It also includes a reusable parachute, which can be refolded and repacked by an ASTM-certified handler, reducing ongoing costs for drone operators.
Manual Triggering Device (MTD)
Additionally, the system has a Manual Triggering Device (MTD) that allows operators to manually deploy the safety system via ParaZero RC, providing an extra level of control during critical operations. The system is also designed to be safe for transport, including check-in luggage on commercial airlines, due to its non-pyrotechnic design.
Regulatory Compliance
The ParaZero SafeAir Mavic 3 system meets global performance-based regulations for advanced drone operations, making it suitable for international drone operations. It also offers data logging capabilities, allowing operators to access data logs and analyze the system’s performance and any incidents that occur during flight.
