SEAMOR Marine is a world-leading manufacturer of versatile underwater ROVs (remotely operated vehicles). Based on more than three decades of development, our powerful and highly reliable solutions are in operation on every continent and in every major body of water on the planet.

underwater rovOur industry-proven ROVs are based around a modular open-frame design, allowing tools, sensors and other essential accessories to be easily added to the vehicle.

SEAMOR ROV platforms are capable of operating at depths of down to 300 meters (1000 ft), and can be provided with a range of standard twisted-pair or fiber optic tether lengths. Vehicles that can withstand depths of down to 600 meters (2000 ft) can be provided upon request.

Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs)

SEAMOR Chinook

inspection-class ROVThe Chinook is an industrial-grade inspection-class ROV with a compact profile that allows it to operate in highly confined spaces. Featuring a forward-facing high-resolution video camera for capturing broadcast-quality footage, as well as an auxiliary camera, the functionality of the versatile robotic vehicle can be extended even further with the addition of optional manipulators, tool skids, extra thrusters, sonars, USBL systems and more.

The platform’s design includes multiple handles and frame cross members that allow it to be carried and deployed by two people with ease. The Chinook package includes an intuitive and ergonomic controller with a built-in LCD screen.

SEAMOR Steelhead

portable ROVThe Steelhead is SEAMOR’s most compact and portable ROV, and can be easily deployed and recovered from small vessels and docks without hoists or cranes.

The inspection-class vehicle comes equipped with a standard definition NTSC or PAL camera that has been optimized for low light conditions.

The Steelhead is ideal for inspection of confined spaces, and can be equipped with a range of additional options including grippers, lighting, sonars, USBLs and lasers.

SEAMOR Mako

rugged ROVThe Mako is our largest and most powerful ROV, featuring eight highly efficient thrusters – four vertical thrusters for stability and four horizontal to maximize forward thrust. Able to carry 14kg of payload as standard and upgradeable to 22.5 kg, the Mako can be equipped with a wide variety of payloads for true multi-mission flexibility, and can deliver enough power to run them all at once.

The rugged ROV features a 1080p HD zoom camera for high-quality footage. Additional accessories can be mounted on the frame or in the specially designed payload bay, including multibeam sonars, CT and UT probes, hydraulic manipulator arms, and more.

Applications

Industrial Inspection
Our ROVs are ideal for undertaking a wide range of critical inspection tasks, including pipelines, storage vessels, and subsea structures.

Port Security
Critical security tasks such as hull scans and unidentified object inspection can be carried out by ROVs, reducing the risks faced by divers and other personnel.

Marine Research
ROVs are an essential tool for scientists and researchers looking to gain a greater understanding of coral reefs, ocean currents, and underwater environments.

Search & Recovery
Law enforcement and first responders deploy ROVs in challenging waters to locate forensic evidence, sunken vehicles and vessels, and missing persons, working at depths and under visibility conditions that would be impossible using manual methods.

Nuclear Power
Nuclear power facilities require regular inspection to meet demanding safety regulations. ROVs are able to operate where human divers cannot, particularly due to radiation, thus helping to speed up inspection and reduce downtime.
Marine aquaculture ROV
Aquaculture
ROVs help commercial fisheries and aquaculture ventures undertake a wide range of tasks in order to lower operating costs and boost profitability, including water sampling, net inspections, disease detection, and repairs.
