Understanding Fast Lightweight Autonomy (FLA) Technology

By Caroline Rees / 06 Jul 2017

In this video DARPA Fast Lightweight Autonomy (FLA) researchers discuss their unique approaches to achieving autonomous drone flight without GPS or remote control (RC) communication links.

The FLA program is focused on developing a new class of algorithms that enables UAVs to operate in GPS-denied or GPS-unavailable environments — such as indoors, underground, or intentionally jammed — without a human tele-operator.
