Phins Subsea is a Fiber-Optic Gyroscope (FOG)-based Inertial Navigation System (INS) designed to provide accurate positioning and motion data for deep-water subsea applications. The system delivers precise position, true heading, attitude, speed, depth, and heave, supported by a high-accuracy Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and embedded processing running advanced filtering algorithms. Engineered for subsea deployment, it can be pre-integrated and calibrated with a Doppler Velocity Log (DVL), enabling streamlined installation and improved navigation accuracy from initial deployment.
Built for demanding environments, Phins Subsea features a rugged design rated for operations at depths of up to 6,000 meters, ensuring reliable performance in extreme offshore conditions. The system supports a wide range of aiding sensors, including DVL, USBL, LBL, GNSS, pressure sensors, and advanced positioning solutions, allowing flexible configuration for different mission requirements. With low-latency output, a web-based interface, and support for tightly coupled sensor integration, it enables precise navigation for subsea vehicles such as AUVs, ROVs, towfish, and ROTVs, as well as for metrology and offshore construction support tasks.
