TEKEVER has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with French specialist MERIO to evaluate the integration of EO/IR gimbals into its aerial platforms.

The agreement, which was formalized at UAV Show 2025 in Bordeaux, is a step in TEKEVER’s strategy to expand its industrial footprint and innovation partnerships within France.
MERIO focuses on Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) technologies utilized for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Under the MoU, TEKEVER and MERIO will evaluate, integrate, and demonstrate MERIO’s Milvus gimbals across TEKEVER’s various aerial systems.
The core objective of the partnership is to enhance modular ISR capabilities. This includes supporting joint research and development (R&D), system testing, and the development of sovereign European technologies. These capabilities are intended to meet the operational needs of both defence and civil security customers.
Nadia Maaref, Director of TEKEVER France, stated, “This collaboration is a powerful signal of our commitment to French innovation. By teaming up with MERIO, we’re expanding the range of advanced ISR sensors available on TEKEVER platforms and strengthening our engagement with France’s vibrant technology ecosystem. Together, we’re co-developing future capabilities that will reinforce Europe’s operational sovereignty.”
Rémi Thomas, Deputy CEO of MERIO, commented, “We are delighted to work alongside a major aerial systems player like TEKEVER. Together, we will demonstrate—under real operating conditions—the operational value of our gimbals to the benefit of European armed forces.”
This strategic move is aligned with TEKEVER’s broader €100 million investment plan in France, which was announced at Choose France 2025. France is developing into a central hub for TEKEVER’s European operations, providing support for R&D, manufacturing, testing, and mission support across civil and defence sectors.
