Heven AeroTech has been named to Fast Company’s 2025 Next Big Things in Tech list for its advancements in hydrogen-powered drone platforms.
The annual editorially selected honor spotlights breakthrough technologies poised to transform global industries. Heven AeroTech was recognized for developing runway-independent Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that integrate hydrogen power, long-endurance flight capabilities, and rapid field refueling. These systems are designed to support a wide range of operations across the defense, humanitarian, and commercial sectors.
The recognition highlights the technical maturity of the company’s platforms, specifically their ability to operate at the intersection of sustainability, national security, and global innovation. Among the systems noted is the Z1, a hydrogen-powered UAV featuring eight to ten hours of flight endurance, field-based hydrogen generation, and AI-powered autonomous flight.
Bentzion Levinson, CEO of Heven AeroTech, stated, “We’re honored to be recognized not just for what we’re building, but for how it’s already being used. Our team has spent the last five years designing UAVs that don’t just push technical boundaries—they solve real problems in the field. This award affirms that mission.”
The company is currently scaling its manufacturing within the United States as its operational deployments continue to expand. The Z1 platform is presently undergoing field evaluation by U.S. military partners and has been selected for the Defense Innovation Unit’s (DIU) Blue UAS and Concierge programs.
Fast Company’s editorial team selected this year’s honorees based on ingenuity, relevance, and the potential for broad business and cultural impact. Heven AeroTech’s inclusion on the list follows five years of development focused on creating mission-adaptable payloads and energy-resilient unmanned systems.
