Terma will provide its high-end sensor and situational awareness technologies to Odd Systems’ combat-proven drone platforms to co-develop a robust suite of low-cost, AI-powered autonomous drone interceptors.

These interceptors will be capable of identifying, tracking, and autonomously neutralizing a range of aerial threats, including FPV drones, ISR copters (such as Mavic), and fixed-wing reconnaissance and long-range strike drones like the Shahed.

To this partnership, Terma brings long-term expertise in mission-critical technologies operating across air, sea, land, and space. As Denmark’s largest defense technology company, it has much experience delivering sensor and mission system solutions for platforms like the F-16 and F-35, bringing these same innovations to drone warfare.

The company is known for its strength in systems integration, advanced sensors, electronic warfare, and surveillance solutions. Terma views drones not just as weapons, but as modular platforms where mission effectiveness depends on the integrated capabilities.

Yaroslav Azhnyuk, co-founder of Odd Systems, stated, “It is our pleasure to work with Terma, a team so professional and so dedicated to making the sky above Europe safe from any intruding drones. We look forward to developing a robust autonomous interceptor platform. Such cooperation between the teams from Ukraine and the EU are crucial for the future of European security.”

Odd Systems itself further contributes experience from the frontlines of modern warfare to this collaboration, specifically in FPV drones and thermal camera systems.

Filip Rensch-Jacobsen, Vice President at Terma, added, “We are proud to partner with Odd Systems, whose innovation and battlefield-proven platforms are a testament to the strength of Ukrainian engineering. They have demonstrated extraordinary capabilities under extreme conditions and at a pace and cost unmatched by Western manufacturers. Together, we can integrate best-in-class technology with agile, combat-adapted drone platforms to accelerate the evolution of future air combat capabilities. Collaborating with them is the smartest and most effective way forward.”

This collaboration, combining Western defense engineering with Ukrainian battlefield innovation, highlights the importance of European defense cooperation and technological resilience, moving toward a more agile, secure, and interconnected European defense landscape.
