Oceanology International (Oi) has officially launched its ‘Call for Papers’ for the next event, Oceanology International 2024 (Oi24).

Deadline Nearing for Oceanology International’s ‘Call for Papers’

Oi24 will be held at ExCel London from 12th to 14th March 2024. The Oi team has spoken to numerous ocean professionals about how they can get involved by contributing content for this event.

Spanning over 50 years, Oi has consistently served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration within the ocean, science, engineering, and technology community.

The event brings together industry leaders, academia, government bodies, and stakeholders to explore the latest developments, share ideas, and address challenges in the field.

Prospective speakers are invited to submit their proposals by 12th September 2023 at Oceanology International – Call for Papers

The submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts in the field and selected speakers will have the chance to present their ideas, research findings and case studies to a global audience of peers, stakeholders, and potential collaborators.

The ‘Call for Papers’ is a crucial component of Oi’s commitment to fostering learning and innovation within the industry. It encourages individuals and organisations to contribute to the event’s technical conference programme by submitting papers that cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Asset Integrity & Monitoring
  • Climate Mitigation & Adaption
  • Ocean ICT
  • Ocean Observation & Measurement
  • Offshore Energy
  • Navigation & Positioning
  • Uncrewed Vehicles & Vessels
  • Data Interpretation & AI

Oi24 will also feature an exhibition floor where companies and organisations will showcase their products, services, and solutions to a targeted audience seeking the latest advancements in marine technology.

Conference Manager, Carlos Fernandes has said that he has been speaking to researchers, academics, and industry leaders in the pursuit of bringing together the very best conference the event has hosted.

“We continue to seek content from the sector to ensure that Oi offers the best possible learning experience for attendees. Speakers who are selected will follow in the footsteps of an elite list of ocean professionals that has included Dr Rick Spinrad, Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere & NOAA Administrator, Captain Don Walsh, Victor Vescovo, Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Insight Equity and Patrick Lahey, President and Managing Partner, Triton Submarines.” said Carlos.

Mike Enser, Oi’s Marketing Manager said, “The conference presents an invaluable opportunity for experts and professionals to showcase their cutting-edge work, share insights, and ultimately grow their personal or corporate brand. We look forward delivering a rich, thought-provoking conference that will delight and educate in equal measure.”
