The Responder VTOL UAS

CGQ (Centre de geomatique du Quebec) has purchased ING Robotic Aviation’s Responder robotic aircraft system as a tool for aerial data acquisition. The Responder will be used to collect aerial imagery that will contribute to CGQ’s scientific research activities in the geomatics field.

“Responder is a perfect tool for geomatics,” states Ian Glenn, CEO and CTO of ING Robotic Aviation. “Our equipment will be used to get the right information, into the right hands, at the right time.”

ING Robotic Aviation has sold a complete Responder vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) robotic aircraft, including a portable Ground Control System (GCS) and ancillary equipment. As well, the company will be providing a one-week training package that will take place with the delivery in the spring of this year. Furthermore, based on ING Robotic Aviation’s excellent track record, the company will also be providing services support to CGQ.

ING Robotic Aviation and CGQ have worked together on a number of other projects in the past. CGQ was very pleased with the fact that ING Robotic Aviation could reliably perform precise aerial data acquisition. In turn, the Responder was chosen for the CGQ’s current project due to its flexibility, reliability and performance in its ability to lift a variety of heavy sensors.
