Sierra Olympia has made a two-part video blog series with footage from its latest Low-SWaP camera.

Watch or read about the innovative features of the long life, mid-wave, HexaBlu® sensor from Leonardo DRS.

This is the same sensor the company uses to power its family of High Definition, 6-micorn, long-range, Infrared cameras.

Watch the videos below and find the full articles on the Sierra Olympia website to see video and screen grabs from the camera, as well as performance results from testing.

HEXABLU® ON VENTUS HD6 – PART 1

In Part 1, Sierra Olympia reviews the HexaBlu® sensor and extended life cooler that runs for over 25k hours with no signs of wear. The company believes it is the ideal 6 micron sensor when it comes to pixel size and spacing for HD image quality.

HEXABLU® ON VENTUS HD6 – PART 2

Part 2 delves into the powerful suite of lenses Sierra Olympia offers that can be customized for any project. There are three different designs to choose from, keeping Low-SWaP for airborne and ground units in mind. It is reportedly the smallest micron, longest life, longest range camera customers can find on the market.
