1. Unmanned Helicopters Supplied for Bulgarian Border Protection

A manufacturer of small tactical helicopter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Alpha Unmanned Systems has supplied its Alpha A900 helicopters for the Bulgarian Border Police.
As part of the agreement, the 200-ton ship “Balchik” of the Border Police Directorate has now been fully equipped with the next-gen Alpha A900 helicopter UAVs.
The Alpha A900 helicopters are set to increase the Bulgarian Border Police’s capabilities for border surveillance, tracking of suspicious objects, and maritime space surveys. This will support the prevention of potential illegal activities and assist with rescue operations.
2. Aerial Wildfire Management Solution Launched

Xer Technologies AG and Workswell have successfully integrated the Wiris Enterprise for use with the Xer X8 UAV platform.
This collaboration marks an advancement in wildfire management technology, offering improved capabilities in early detection, rapid response and strategic wildfire management.
With the paired capabilities of the Xer X8 and the Workswell Wiris Enterprise, wildfire management teams can leverage real-time data streaming and control, enabling them to monitor vast areas, assess hotspots, and make informed decisions swiftly and accurately.
3. Weatherproof Quadcopter with AI Technology to Debut at Farnborough Airshow 2024

Beyond Vision will unveil the company’s latest quadcopter drone model, BVQ418, at Farnborough International Airshow 2024. The event will also be live-streamed from Farnborough on July 23rd at 13:30–14:00 CET.
The BVQ418, integrating over 20 sensors (cameras, lidars, radars, interties), AI, and multiple comms technologies, has been under development for the last 3 years.
One the BVQ418’s standout features is its compact size, which enhances portability—crucial for transporting equipment in challenging environments. Despite its small form factor, BVQ418 does not compromise on performance. It is designed to be easily transported and deployed even in constrained and remote locations.
4. AI-Supported Advanced Swimmer Delivery Vehicles Unveiled

Robosys Automation has unveiled its new subsea advanced navigation and vessel control solution, Advanced Swimmer Delivery Vehicles (ASDVs), reportedly the first in their class.
The ASDVs will safely and comfortably enable dive units to be transported to and from remote and challenging locations. Operating in three modes, surface, semi-submerged and submerged, initially the ASDVs will be crewed, with decision-aided navigational support.
The ASDVs will feature the company’s Voyager AI-supported advanced navigation and vessel control systems, enabling critical navigational and AI enhanced decision-aided support to the crew.
5. Demolition Robots Fitted with Vanguard Battery Packs for Cable-Free Movement

Advanced Robotic Engineering (ARE) range of mobile industrial demolition robots will be powered with the Briggs & Stratton Vanguard 48V Si1.5kWh swappable and 48V Fi3.5kWh fixed battery packs.
For many years, onsite workers are said to have struggled with needing their demolition machines to be cable powered when moving from one site to another, while one operator controlled the machine, another assisted on navigating the cable.
As a consequence, moving machines was not only complicated and time consuming, but also required the involvement of several people at the job site. A disaster in an industry where uptime is everything and the reduction of total cost of ownership crucial.
