Sierra-Olympia has released a case study discussing the deployment of its thermal cameras, Ventus HD6 0.6, VayuHD-I, and Vinden 225, to provide an unprecedented thermal perspective of the firefighting efforts during the Tunnel 5 Fire in Skamania County, which broke out on July 2nd, 2023.

The fire, which lasted until July 10th, could be seen from Sierra-Olympia’s headquarters and the company took the opportunity to learn and document the natural disaster. The footage was given to those who fight the fires and local fire department for their own research and development.
